what is more important in transport and logistic management? marketing strategies or corporate finiance? Thank
marketing strategies and corporate finance are optional papers for my BA programme and i want to specialise in Transport and Logistic management after completion of my BA. i can choose only one of them(marketing or finance), and i want to know which one is more important and useful in any logistic fields before i make any choice. thanks

But before you start pushing a product shouldn’t you have an appreciation for what it is you are selling , how it gets to its final destination?
Transportation should give you an Idea of what your customer wants and problems solved.
As fascinating as Marketing is , there doesn’t seem to be any hard and fast rules to success does there?
corporate finance hmmm are you strong with numbers?
So I guess you have to ask yourself :Are you more practical and hands on or creative and risk taking?
Both roles are important however, it depends on your own personal suitcase of skills. (pardon the pun) I know that the national supermarket that I work for supports trainees in both areas to do with logistics and finance. why don’t you give it a go pt?

It’s like the song, "…Love and Marriage, love and marriage-go together like a horse and carriage…",
you can’t have one without the other.
It seems counter-productive to exclude either from an MBA dissertatation requirement. But I guess that’s why I’m not an educator. Wise man not antagonize professor.

Marketing and corporate finance are complementary disciplines but none of them will prepare you for logistics. however, go with finance – at least, you will learn to deal with numbers and calculations – important in logistics – take your time to become proficient with excel and access. Good Luck!

May in some small way.
BUT Corp Finance.
