What topic I choose for my PHD thesis in management? or project management?

Hi … I want to choose a topic for my PHD thesis (topic) and I don’t know what to choose.
My major is in business administration and would like to choose something about project management. I need a question to try to find its answer.

For example: how motivation affects employees performance?

I need a question that is new and never been asked before about management or project management.

I have an interesting topic for you: Navigating your way though office politics. Office politics has a huge influence on Project Managers, and if not handled properly, can certainly lead to project failure. This is an excellent topic to expand on, you can add examples, charts, theories, etc… It is also related to conflict management, but is not the same.

    I have to chide you for not being able to formulate a proper thesis.

    if your doctoral coursework did not present many unanswered questions, then shame on them as well.

    The best dissertation is a done dissertation. Your topic is too far reaching. Furthermore, it is trite.

    why not look at "employee voices in implementing [project name]" then do a stakeholder analysis. Cover things like the corporate culture, past practices, decision theory, diffusion theory, and put it all together.

    really, you should not be done with coursework, have passed comps, and still NOT have a topic. Where has your mentor been?
