Classical Change – DVD
Change Management
Adapting is the secret of survival, dont just react, act.
Change will continue to affect all companies. For companies to succeed and excel in their new environment, they and their employees must adapt and be prepared for change.
Classical Change is a unique video it uses no words, but demonstrates two different approaches to company organisation and structure through action set to music.
There are two sequences in the main video. The first shows a traditional, hierarchical organisation people work in a regimented, systematic way. The second a new, dynamic organisation where people come together to solve problems, and teams are created to address specific needs.
The video provides a powerful tool for examining the way in which an organisation is structured. It can be used to initiate team discussion and investigation of alternative approaches to problem solving.
Who could benefit?
Business leaders
Managers, supervisors
Any staff involved in organisational change
Anyone involved in working as part of a team
Key learning areas
In hierarchical organisations: organisational boundaries are based on functions
risks are avoided, but opportunities are lost
In dynamic organisations: decisions are made through consensus
people respond to change as a team
job satisfaction is increased
Leadership is needed to show the way ahead
An action plan ensures that change is implemented not just talked about
Running Time
Main video: 9 minutes
Summary video: 6 minutes
